To kick off any successful project, it's crucial to gain a comprehensive understanding of your client's needs, motivations, and goals.
In this case, The company is a Web 3 Marketing Agency having a USP that they are more than just a marketing agency. They are “ The Ecosystem Enabler “.
This involves thoroughly discussing the scope of the project and exploring various possibilities to achieve their objectives.
Previously Deon had a website that they were unsatisfied with because it was limiting their growth potential and competitive edge over their competitors.
They didn’t want just an aesthetic-looking website that pleased viewers and didn’t encourage any actions that would help the company grow.
They wanted a website that would act as a bridge for their business helping them.
Get discoverability in their space by presenting them as an authority in the eyes of their target audience
Telling Deon’s purpose and how their capabilities distinguish them from other traditional marketing agencies.
Act as an interface for lead generation.
I started with analyzing competitors, Deon had a sheet filled with details about their competitors which eased my process of gathering insights and inspirations.
This information architecture evolved through a series of meetings from time to time as we gradually understood how to present our information optimally.
The next step was selecting the Ideal Brand Color, Brand Font, and Typography Scale.
Typography Scale: It is a must when building a scalable system and should be built in a way that makes the structure and content understandable and legible.
Brand Font: It had to be chosen wisely because the fonts of Web 3 are different from that of Web 2. The goal was to give the website a web3 techy feel… So I decided to go with Tektur( This font can be found in Google Fonts Library ).
Brand Color: My task was to build a color palette that would give an experience of the values of the company which were: Trust, Quality, and Techno Expertise.
After the branding was done it was time to do the final UI design of the website.
It demanded I jump into Canvas and design the website. Inspiration gathering helped me in this phase by making my process easier.
This step comprised of building various iterations and choosing the best possible outcome. This stage also involved a series of meetings discussing the direction and improvements.
I was going in the right direction but something was missing…At this stage, I was not able to figure it out.
The website has to be unique while at the same time creating a positive brand image in the mind of the prospects…
Gotchhaa!! Why not create a consistent visual language that will help Deon stand apart from the predictability of mass-market branding? ( Didn’t get my point? let me make it easier to understand )
I went on creating a uniform design decision for all the pages that was a tubelight effect making the solution visible ( solution to the old redundant marketing fashion that is none other than The Ecosystem Enabler “ The DEON “).
An important token for the success of the company is TRUST and the best way of building trust Is showing credibility.
Doen have well-known and recognized companies of Web 3 as their partners also they have folks as contributors for major brands…Why not show that to the prospects and tell them that Deon is the right choice!!
So I decided to have dedicated sections for showcasing brand names. A fantastic way to increase conversions is by transferring credibility.
Collecting various sections resulted in the creation of the website which left the team in awe. Not just the design but also the values were aptly portrayed
Indeed design is very important but the correct transformation of the design into a real-world product holds the same value. Easing the process of development and removing the roadblocks, I created a Design System !! A library with all the components, style guide…everything that a developer needs to replicate the design into a real-world product.
In conclusion, working on the DEON redesign project was a self-exploration journey for me where I discovered my potential.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with the client to understand their needs and goals, and then use my skills to craft a solution that exceeded their expectations.
While collaborating with the developer I came to know the meaning of a product development cycle and the importance of a designer in the process.
I'm proud of what we achieved together.
