About Company

Flavr is a platform where Home chef's can share their best recipes and create cookbooks for food lovers and build their business through taking orders from people and delivering them tasty and healthy food filled with their unique personality and love.

Why Home Chef's ?

In a 2024 survey of Indian users aged 18 to 55+

63% reported using food delivery apps at least weekly, while a significant portion of users place orders daily. This shows the dependence on food cooked by restaurants and cloud kitchens.

And..

Restaurants and cloud kitchen often operate at scale, which raises concerns about the freshness and quality of ingredients when consumed frequently. Additionally, they rarely offer hyper-niche cuisines, as the target audience for such offerings is typically limited.

This creates a clear need for home chefs

  1. Unlike restaurants and commercial kitchens, home chefs are less likely to rely on low-quality oils or stale ingredients.

  1. They offer fresh, authentic regional meals that are prepared with care and are often difficult to replicate on large-scale commercial menus.

Home chefs thrive in hybrid and micro-niche cuisines that cater to specific tastes.

Addressing the problem

  1. Discoverability of Home Chef's

Current social media platforms are crowded and noisy, with creators competing for attention across countless niches. Food discovery is largely fragmented, with YouTube serving as the primary platform for discovering recipes prepared by home chef's and cooks.

  1. Managing multiple platforms

Managing multiple platforms is a significant challenge for home chefs. Many who run their business through Instagram are forced to handle leads across different channels, typically using WhatsApp to take orders and relying on separate platforms for delivery. There is no platform specifically for home culinary talent.

Competitive Analysis

I focused on understand different behavioral patterns and user experience of existing social media and food delivery apps, learn and use them to design a platform that feels trustworthy and easy for homechef's to use on a daily basis and interesting for foodies to come and explore the best cuisines and recipes and eventually ordering them.

The Solution

Building a social media platform for Home Chef's and Foodies!

  1. The Tasty Dish Feed

You can explore variety of dishes from different chef's in a pinterest like layout. Find the recipe of that dish and order it if the chef is within a set discoverable distance from you and is taking orders for that dish.

Order Flow

PROBLEM: What if you want to order multiple dishes from same or different chefs ?

You can place multiple orders for the same or different dates and time slots by adding dishes to My Orders.

Orders are automatically grouped based on their scheduled delivery date and time.

  1. The Discover Page

You can discover chef's near you in a map and search for dishes and chef's.
