The app's plain interface lacked visual appeal, making it unmemorable for users. To address this, I focused on introducing a vibrant brand color palette and a more engaging user interface to create an experience that resonates emotionally with users.
NiftyClick enables users to mint NFTs with just a click.

(my role)
As a product designer my responsibilities were to redesign the entire interface, ensuring it remained intuitive and easy to navigate, minimizing cognitive load. It was crucial to incorporate familiar design patterns to prevent user frustration ( Pattern Matching a UX psychology ), which could lead to churn ( an outcome no business wants ). I also worked on creating a design system to make sure the scalability of the project.
I began by analyzing the existing user experience to identify key issues
Visually Unappealing with No Brand Identity

I chose blue as the brand color because it conveys a sense of safety and security, which is essential in the emerging and unfamiliar NFT space.

Lack of sufficient context about the app
What the hell? What to do? It felt like navigating a maze, leaving users uncertain about how to find their way around the app.

Bringing new technologies closer to users presents the challenge of simplifying the process as much as possible, reducing the number of steps while providing feedback at every phase. Without this, users may quickly become frustrated.
No Error States
Error states are just as important as success states.
Helping users resolve the problem is one of the most important aspects to reduce user churn.
One key area that required careful attention in the redesign was the minting process.

I then moved on to developing the information architecture and wireframes.
I began by analyzing existing applications in the market, which helped me understand common design patterns, user flows, and UI decisions that consumers are already familiar with.

Wireframing provided me a solid foundation to build on.

I then began creating various design iterations, putting my ideas on screen. This process involved numerous revisions and sometimes starting over from scratch. Iteration opens up a world of possibilities, allowing for a better presentation of the product and creating a user experience as smooth as butter.

How I Improved the User Experience
I took the initiative to design certain features that would enhance the user experience.
Proper Feedbacks Through Error States and Notifications
Providing proper and timely feedback is key to great design. It reassures users that they are taking the right actions
Take a Tour
What if users don’t understand the application? While I aimed to make it as simple as possible, I also designed a 'Take a Tour' feature for added clarity. This feature is presented to users as soon as they onboard the application, helping them become familiar with the NiftyClick interface and the actions they can perform.
List and Block view
It enhances the user's viewing experience of their NFTs. The box view provides a detailed look at each NFT, while the list view allows for quick scanning, especially if the user isn't sure of the exact name.
Search NFTs with filters
A search feature is essential for enhancing the user experience, and filters offer users a faster way to find what they need. In the app, users can filter their search based on the blockchain where their NFT was minted
Simplified NFT Minting Process
Since this is a new concept for most users, it's crucial that the process is both simple and brief, while also providing feedback to ensure they know they’re on the right track.
Automated NFT Organization and Categorization
NiftyClick organizes NFTs into folders based on their categories at the time of minting. Users don't need to manage these folders themselves, addressing a common file management issue. NiftyClick handles the organization, ensuring that NFTs are neatly arranged and easily understandable for users.
In conclusion, working on the NiftyClick redesign project was a self-exploration journey for me where I discovered my potential.
It challenged me to create a more engaging and intuitive user experience. Despite the lack of measurable outcomes, the project succeeded in enhancing brand identity, improving information architecture, and delivering a cleaner, more user-friendly interface. This experience reinforced the value of thoughtful design even without traditional user research, and I look forward to applying these insights in future projects.
